El Diablo V

As the first speaker in Peak Consult's Reference Line, the El Diablo V takes performance up substantially from the Zoltan V. The El Diablo V is a larger speaker which features substantially modified and upgraded components throughout.

Building on the original El Diablo, today's version V features: a new high efficiency tweeter, a new midrange drive unit, upgraded crossover components and two new specially developed hybrid bass drivers. With two 9" woofers the El Diablo V moves a lot of air and with 94 dB efficiency and a 7 ohm impedance the El Diablo easily recreates the scale and dynamics of a live performance. The El Diablo V must be heard to be truly appreciated.

The speaker uses a second order crossover in the tweeter/midrange section and in the midrange/ base section. Every component has been chosen for its sonic and musical characteristics regardless of cost. The crossover is hardwired with silver soldering and sealed in the bottom of the speaker to avoid microphony and to shield it from electrical and magnetic radiation from rest of the system.

The El Diablo V is designed for rooms of 290 square feet and larger. Frequency range 20-45,000 Hz -3dB. Sensitivity is 94 dB. Impedance is 7 ohms. Dimensions are 45"H x 11.8"W x 21.5"D. 188 lbs.
