Empress VII

The Empress VII is the latest generation of this speaker. It features an upgraded tweeter and a totally new crossover with a new compensation on the midrange and tweeter and is now completely linear in terms of impedance and frequency. The Empress VII's mulifaceted enclosure is made of a 1.5" to 3" thick HDF specially glued sandwich material covered by a .75" thick "finger tapped" selected solid hard wood or acrylic panel.
The Empress VII includes an acoustical fully compensated second order crossover in the tweeter/midrange section and it has been isolated from the moving system in it's own dual sealed department. The Empress VII features only the best of the best: Duelund Coherent audio foil capacitors, silver carbon resistors and oiled/waxed inductors by Duelund Coherent Audio.

The low frequency includes very large foiled inductors. The low frequencies have also been altered by our straight level impedance and phase control. All sealed in its own isolated compartment.

Every component has been chosen for its sonic and musical behaviour, with no consideration for cost. The crossover is crimped and hardwired with silver soldering. The crossover is sealed in it's own compartment to avoid microphony distortion and to shield it from electrical and magnetic radiation from rest of the system.
The 5" midrange is hand built and optimized for the Empress VII. Being extremely linear it delivers unmatched sound staging ability and pinpoint imaging. The 9" Audio Technology woofer is hand built and specifically designed for The Empress VII. Very special technology in the moving systems makes this a very low loss driver. The huge magnets and ventilation and Symmetric Drive system allow the driver to reproduce very tight and extremely low frequencies - second to none. This driver will set new standards in bass reproduction.
The Empress is a three way ported design with bi-wiring termination. It should be used in rooms of 160 square feet or larger. Frequency range is 27 - 30,000 Hz -3dB. Sensitivity is 89 dB. Impedance is 5 ohm linear to 28 Hz. Dimensions are 42.5"H x 11.5"W x 15"D. Weight is 159 lbs each.
