In the jungle of consumer and so-called high end loudspeakers, there are some brands actually reaching for higher goals. Peak Consult is one of them, but how is that done?

Countless hours of measuring and critical listening have gone into making the finest loudspeakers available. Peak speakers feature a time aligned, phase accurate driver configuration and a highly desirable stable impedance curve. The multifaceted enclosures are handcrafted in Peak's own facility by Danish artisans. Depending on the model, Peak cabinets are built with a 1" to 3" HDF sandwich material covered by another 1" solid wood panel or high grade acrylic.

The speakers are designed to optimize the off-axis response and to avoid diffraction. In order to minimize acoustical waves, there are no parallel front, back, top or bottom panels. The slant of the front panel corrects the phase and timing between tweeter and woofer.

The ultra high quality non-ferro fluid 1" hand coated silk dome tweeters are used with a low compression design, and non-resonant chamber. These tweeters perform effortlessly and various modifications as one progresses up the Peak line optimize performance for each model.

Peak speakers feature midrange and bass units from the world renowned Danish manufacturer Audio Technology. Interestingly, Ejvind Skanning, founder of Audio Technology was previously the founder of both Scan-Speak and Dynaudio! Each Audio Technology drive unit used in each Peak speaker is hand built and specially designed for optimal effect in that enclosure.

Peak Consult chose drivers which have a very linear and stable cone, as opposed to some of today's more exotic or trendier drive units. Peak's priority was to utilize a design which offers a more coherent sound, better long term stability and more consistent production. This ensures each Peak speaker delivers a performance at it's specified reference level for many years.

The end result is a blend of art and technology which makes each Peak Consult loudspeaker an uncompromising work of art.
