Bluebird's Ultimate
System C10
Affordable high performance
system delivers
the thrill of a live performance in your home.
For 2009 and 2010 Bluebird Music
wanted to show the superb quality and value of Spendor and Exposure. Our
goal was not to put together the least expensive system, rather it was
to achieve the very best sound possible for the least amount of money.
In this crowded industry we needed a truly impressive system which would
blow show attendees away with incredible sound.
We found excellent synergy between Spendor's A6 speakers, Exposure's 3010S
electronics and some mid-level Van
den Hul cables. The result was a system which delivered a generous slice
of high end
performance at a very reasonable price. This is the system we decided
to present to industry and press in 2009 and at CES 2010.
As you will see from the
never-ending accolades below, this system turned out to be an instant
hit!
Now it is available to you as a
fully specified packaged system.
With this exquisite,
easy to use, compact system you will hear individual voices and
instruments much more clearly. You'll hear the true tonal
colors, textures and layers of music. You'll be able to follow
complex harmonies. Pianos will sound like instruments made out
of wood and singers will sound like real humans. You
will experience the emotion of the performance and connect to the music
like never before.
The C10 package
consists of the Exposure 3010S2 cd player, Exposure 3010S2
integrated amplifier, Spendor A6 loudspeakers, and Van den Hul
D-352 speaker wire and D-102 interconnects, (as pictured above). At a
special package price of $7,499 this unbeatable system offers supreme value.
Read the reviews on this stunning
combination...
"You get used to hearing
expensive over-the-top systems at an audio show, but the real
delight is discovering more affordable set-ups that sound better
than you expect. Such was the case when I entered the Bluebird Music
room, where the Spendor A6 two-way tower speakers were being demmed
with Exposure's $1,795 3010S integrated amplifier and an Exposure CD
player. I was struck by how seamless the presentation was, with
natural tonal qualities, well-defined stereo imaging, and good
dynamics." – John Atkinson, Stereophile, Salon Son & Image 2009 Show
Report
"The
Spendor Exposure system was sounding quite nice – offering some
punch, detail and a bigger sound than the price or size of the
system would seem to allow. The sound was crisp and clean and seemed
neutral yet involving." - Richard Austen, Dagogo, CES Show Report,

"I walked into Jay Rein's
Bluebird Music room and was immediately taken by the hard-rocking
sound of Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick", reproduced with appropriate
drama, impact, and scale..." - Stephen Mejias, Stereophile SSI 2010
Show Report
"the Exposure kit was a real inspiration"
"I almost fell off my chair... what a great sound"
"the best/quality/price ratio at the show"
"superb sound for the price"
"an exceptionally fine example of an affordable yet musical
system" - Paul Candy, 6Moons
"Rein then proceeded to blow my mind with budget magic… the
system's evenly balanced, full-range sound blew me away. Now I
understand why Stereophile has heaped praise on Exposure
Electronics." - Jason Victor Serinus, Stereophile.
"This system sounded simply wonderful. And people think I only
like mega-size, mega-buck equipment." - Paul Bolin, Stereophile.
"…played music with a level of realism and authority totally out
of line with the low price of the system. If I gave out show awards,
this would easily have won for 'Best Sound Relative to Price'. That
they were playing AC/DC's Back in Black when we walked in their room
said something about their confidence in the system's ability to
play music!" - Steve Lefkowicz, Positive Feedback
"I have always enjoyed the sound that Jay Rein of Bluebird puts
together at any show, and this was one killer system." – Dave
Clark, Positive Feedback
"The results are
simply staggeringly engaging and enjoyable. ..these speakers will
bring real, live, breathing music into your home. The SA1 and A6
are setting exacting new performance standards at their price
points. Easy to use, easy to drive and easy to get the best out of,
I love the A6s. They’re GRRREAT!" - Roy Gregory HiFi+, February
2009
"Exposure's 'Proudly Made in England by Music Lovers' tagline
isn't just marketing BS. It's clear that the people behind these
products know what music sounds like and are able to design
components that bring music's emotional and intellectual power alive
in a way that makes both standouts in their price class. The 3010S
CD player and integrated amplifier make listening to music so
intensely involving that it borders on an addiction." - Wayne
Garcia, The Absolute Sound, April/May 2008.
"These A6s play the
‘jack of all’ game with one difference – from tub-thumping attack to
candle-lit caress, they master them all. Outstanding set of speakers
without any obvious flaws. In fact, they don't have any obscure
flaws either. These Spendors are true must-hear hi-fi." - What
HiFi, Winner Best Buy Speakers up to £3,000, September 2009
"A highly articulate CD player, Exposure's 3010S possesses
impressive breadth and depth, and good air and detail... a musically
natural presentation capable of reproducing bloom, complex
harmonics, excellent rhythmic pace, and deep, authoritative bass
that's always easy and effortless sounding." - TAS 2008 Editors'
Choice Award Winner.
"The A6 may look
ordinary, but the performance is anything but that. These are
brilliant speakers for the money. Their sound is a class-leading
combination of insight and naturalness. A fast, detailed and dynamic
sound, natural sonic balance, transparency, sturdy build. The A6’s
are stunning." - What HiFi Five Stars award, February 2009
"The Exposure took
to the Quads like a duck to water. The combination sounded wonderful
in all the ways I expected - clarity, immediacy, presence, lack of
obvious colorations... and sounded surprisingly big for such a
relatively inexpensive solid-state product. More important, the amp
followed the music with a good sense of flow, and preserved a lot of
the touch and humanness. This newer one is very good." - Art Dudley,
Stereophile, June 2008.
"Chalk up another hit for Exposure. It's an
engaging Best Buy." Hi-Fi Choice, Best Buy Winner.
Have we made our point? This is "seriously
good stuff".
Why it works so well...
There is tremendous
synergy in this beautifully-matched system. Spendor and
Exposure share the same musical objectives and both seek to achieve:
an exceptionally natural tonality, authentic mid-range clarity,
rhythmic precision with tight, fast, tuneful bass and realistic
dynamics and scale. When the strengths of these two products are combined the
music comes through in it's purest form and the result is a thrilling,
engaging musical performance.
The Press is so
impressed with this system because they are completely
shocked when they hear how tonally accurate,
rhythmic and
"musically right" this system is. Nobody expected
so much from this modest system. Plus, it's incredibly
fun and easy to listen to. It is very difficult for a small,
relatively inexpensive system
to achieve so much and you will be astonished when you hear it
too.
More than any affordable
system we've heard, this is the one if you want to listen to your
music not your hi-fi. Buy this system with
total confidence and enjoy!
Future Upgrade Path
Take this system up a notch with the addition of a
Chord Electronics QBD76 DAC. The amplification and speaker
combination is easily strong enough to partner well with one of the best source components available on the market.

Listen to your
music not your hi-fi.
