The
MCX CD Player was built for the most demanding listeners. Featuring four
separate DAC boards with PCM 1704 multi-bit DACs, discrete transistor IV
and analog filters. Each board has a separate regulated supply for DAC
and audio circuits with multiple stages of voltage regulation for
critical circuits. Very low jitter master clock with multiple voltage
regulators, smoothing and re-clocking of critical digital signals to the
DAC. Four digital inputs and three digital outputs are provided. The
result is exceptional fluidity and very high resolution with an
extremely natural tonal balance. Weight 44 lbs, 19.3"W x 16.3"D x 4.1"H.
MCX Pre-Amplifier
The MCX Pre-Amplifier is quite simply a work of art. It
is beautifully designed for no compromise sound and uses only best
components. Mono printed circuit boards ensure extremely low crosstalk.
Features all discrete transistor audio circuits, input switching and
volume attenuation by very high quality reed relays. X1 gain setting
allows easy integration into an AV system. Five line level inputs
including optional balanced or unbalanced MM or MC phono board. Two XLR
balanced outputs, one RCA pre-out and one RCA tape output. Weight 44
lbs, 19.3"W x 16.3"D x 4.1"H.
MCX Mono Amplifier
Each MCX Monoblock power amplifier features a colossal
1400VA toroidal power transformer with separate windings for the main
supply and the critical low level input circuit. These 77 pound
behemoths deliver 300 watts into 8 ohms and a breath-taking 600 watts
into 4. Switchable between balanced and unbalanced inputs. Power
consumption 500W at full power and less than 1W in stand-by. Effortless
presentation with exceptional control. 19.3"W x 16.3"D x 9.4"H.
All Exposure MCX components are fully balanced designs but
unbalanced inputs and outputs are provided for customers using
individual components in other systems. MCX systems use double sided
printed circuit boards for superior shielding, low impedance signal
lines and grounds. Power transformers with interwinding shields reduce
pick-up from noisy electrical power lines. High-mass aluminum casework
produces low levels of induced hum affecting critical circuits, better
screening from external fields and low resonance. High quality screw
terminal smoothing capacitors for main audio power supply yield low
impedance supply line over a wide frequency range. RJ45 communication
links provide system-wide power on/off and 12V trigger for integration
to an AV system. Finishes as shown above, (units do not need to be
stacked as illustrated).
