Spendor and Jadis Rock Back in Black at Vancouver Audio Show

A big thank you to Pat’s Audio Art of Vancouver for three fabulous rooms at the Vancouver Audio Show May 8 – 10, 2015.

For some reason when we put Spendor Classic speakers together with Jadis tube amps we just can’t seem to stay away from the Rock and Roll. Vancouver was no exception and AC/DC’s Back in Black was sounding absolutely perfect – just like it did when you were in high school and everything sounded great. As soon as we cranked it up the room filled up with passionate music people. Of course, the Rega RP10 and Jadis DPMC phono stage front end didn’t hurt the sound one bit.

This was the Canadian debut for the new Jadis I-50 integrated. The I-50 is the newest offering from Jadis and features the new KT150 tubes. The I-50 puts out 50 watts in pure class A and it’s sound is clear, natural, fast and powerful. With it’s best-in-class sound at outstanding value, we believe this wonderful integrated is destined to become a classic.

Venerable distributor Bluebird Music was there with their splendid Jadis I-50 Class A Integrated Amplifier and Spendor SP2/3R2 Loudspeakers. The Spendors are spouting more transparency over the laid back nature of previous models. You still get that enviable midrange but better defined bass and silky highs. The silk no doubt helped in earnest by the dreamy Jadis. It looked exquisite and is a pretty reasonable price for the wonderful hunk of metal you get.
